Tavullia is a great, wide land which stretches towards all four cardinal points. Its large surface is marked by the flow of Foglia river and by nature which grows luxuriant along its banks. Looking east one can see Pesaro and the Adriatic coast; turning west, there are the tops of Carpegna, Catria and Nerone mountains. A few steps, and one is beyond the limits of Romagna. Wide and charming spaces which one can travel not only motorbiking but also, more calmly, on foot or biking, along the many tracks which roll along the whole territory, feeling free to enjoy the breezes which caress his skin. It all is easier in Tavullia because between the Foglia valley and the hillsides many naturalistic paths have been created: charming tracks which offer views of sheer wonder at every step. Between the boroughs of Rio Salso and Case Bernardi, for example, a long biking track runs by the Foglia river, at times hidden by the vegetation but ready to appear again from poetic perspectives, always recognizable because of the nice sound of its water, which round here makes little jumps along its path creating beautiful little waterfalls.
It along this path that in Rio Salso one gets to a great building, unfortunately very marred, whose ancient splendour however can still be imagined. It is the home of Fabio Tombari, a great writer of the XX century, who was born in Fano but spent most of his life in Rio Salso and died there. Tombari was very fond of Tavullia and was reciprocated with the affection of its citizens and their deep respect. After walking or biking for such a long time, one can revive himself in Tavullia with one of its typical recipes: Piadina (a sort of flat bread, bearing influences from Romagna and Urbino), tagliatelle with rag\u00f9 and peas sauce and the \u201cpatacucci\u201d with chickpeas or beans. Good food and energies typical of tradition, ideal to restore the visitor and make him leave again to discover Tavullia. There are many hotels ready to host visitors with the typical cordiality of our land and to make them feel at home.
