Pesaro consists of a never ending series of wonderful landscapes, and travelling by bike is the best way to enjoy them, feeling the wind that caresses the skin and of comfortably stopping in front of one of such many attractions. No wonder, therefore, that the city is most renowned in Italy for the urban circulation by bike. It is an ecologic, healthy and relaxing way of living the city, an easy to use kind of tourism due to the \u201cBicipolitana\u201d, a wholly made in Pesaro project, consisting into an open air public pathway, where the narrow underground galleries are replaced by biking tracks. Pesaro may be travelled by following lines, painted with different colours, which run for 89 total kilometres all the way through the city centre, as to the sea coast area and to the most external boroughs, along the shores of the Foglia river and into the green. Signage is simple, effective and easy to understand by people of all ages, with a special care for the youngest. The nickname of \u201cBike City\u201d is therefore fully deserved, and certified by the prestigious \u201cItalian Green Road Award for Sustainable Mobility\u201d, obtained in 2015. Pesaro also boasts another illustrious tradition linked to travelling on two wheels, and that is motor biking. It is here that Benelli, one of the most ancient and prestigious motorcar companies in Italy, was established. In the location of its old workshop it now hosts a museum showing 150 historical Benelli and MotoBi motorcars. Along with the Morbidelli Museum, created by Giancarlo Morbidelli, the owner of the firm established in Pesaro and bearing his name. Pesaro is therefore a \u201cLand of Pilots and Motors\u201d: this is then name of a project created in cooperation with the Marche Region and with nearby Tavullia, the town where Valentino Rossi was born and on the bends of whose roads he practiced his first skids.
