Even though emotions can hardly rise from numbers, one data must be quoted to talk about the tourist offer of Gabicce: every year, since 1987, the city was awarded the Blue Flag which certifies the quality of its sea water, its coast, its services and security. By an untouched sea, a top level hospitality activity has grown: about forty beach and one hundred hotel resorts, almost all in front of the sea, offer all comforts on the perfectly kept beach, thanks to a perfectly trained staff that make tourists feel like they are cuddled all the time. Equipment, structures, infrastructures: all is top quality. Though a border land, Gabicce belongs completely to Marche having chosen to offer its charms a perfectly “slow” way, in line with the region’s philosophy characterized by a sustainable and responsible touring, meant to be perfectly in tune with places where calm, silence and peace are the natural background accompanying visitors. Of course tourists are not attracted just by the tanning sun and by the pleasure of swimming in crystal waters. To the more dynamic ones, beaches offer many sport structures where they can practice sailing, beach volley, tennis, soccer and golf. Here, getting damp with transpiration while having fun, and then plunging into the sea to cool down is easy and inviting. Other possibilities of practicing physical activities can be found, a bit away from the sea, along the many paths of St. Bartolo Park. This net of tracks offers at every turn a chance to admire breathtaking panoramic glimpses, through which the sea can be seen again from other, charming perspectives, up to Gabicce Monte where, at the end of the day, one cannot do without resting and let his eyes be captured by the sunset from an incomparable position. The net of paths is perfect both for bikers and for trekkers. Indeed, it is not the means that really matters, but rather the wish to have a walk in contact with nature, breathing clean air and filling the eyes with the treasures of Gabicce.
